CombiCat2001 Boasts an Impressive Speaker Lineup with Depth and Diversity FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SPRING HOUSE, PA, JULY 3, 2001 - The Catalyst Group Resources is pleased to present CombiCat2001 - Third Annual Combinatorial Catalysis and Catalyst Optimization Conference & Exhibition November 15-16, 2001 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA at the Park Hyatt Hotel Philadelphia. This industry conference presents the most recent developments in the techniques, equipment, software, and competition in combinatorial/high-throughput approaches to catalyst discovery and design. Headlining this year's impressive speaker lineup are presentations from senior executives from the two industry leaders, Symyx Technologies and Avantium BV. Delivering the Keynote Address, Dr. Isy Goldwasser from Symyx will provide a strategic look of the business view in combinatorial catalysis 2000 to 2005, and Avantium's Dr. Ian Maxwell will deliver a Special Feature Presentation on "Enhanced Catalyst Innovation Through High Speed Experimentation and Simulation Technology." Presentations from ExxonMobil, GE Corporate Research and Development, and UOP LLC will highlight Session I's look at the Industrial Challenges of Combinatorial and HTS Catalysis. Mr. Gregory Alan Korbel from Harvard University will provide a glimpse into a new screening technique that will be of high importance to the industry in his talk on "Reaction Microarrays: A New Direction for Enantioselective Reaction Discovery." Presentations from Nanostream Inc., Sandia National Laboratories, and Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo (IMP) will address some of the latest advances in compatible instrumentation and software/expert systems. In conjunction with CombiCat2001, The Catalyst Group Resources will launch the brand new Combi/HTS in Catalysis and Materials Workshop, November 14, 2001, also in Philadelphia, PA. The workshop offers a comprehensive description of the techniques available and in development, the competitors involved and their relationships (via alliance, JV or acquisition) and the expectations for future advancements. For further information regarding the CombiCat2001 Conference & Exhibition or the Combi/HTS in Catalysis and Materials Workshop, please contact Ms. Connie Scarcia-Haverstick, Conference Manager or Ms. Lindsay Young, Conference Assistant at (T) 215-628-4447, (F) 215-628-2267, or (E-mail) cnf@catalystgrp.com.
