The Annual Selective Oxidation Catalysis Program (OxiCat)

Due to the growing importance of selective catalytic oxidation chemistry across numerous applications, as well as the enormous technical hurdles which have been recently overcome, there is a need for more timely and insightful information. In order to address this need, The Catalyst Group (TCG) is launching a new innovative consortium program entitled the Annual Selective Oxidation Catalysis (OxiCat) Program. The program, which covers both technological and commercial developments, is devoted to selective oxidation catalysis and its impacts on the manufacture of commodity, specialty and fine chemicals. Where relevant, competitive processes and approaches are addressed.

The service consists of:

  • Twelve editions of a client-confidential newsletter
    (The OxiCat Newsletter)

  • Two in-depth semi-annual reports

  • A fax/e-mail notification service for critical press releases

This "first-ever" independently-sourced subscriber service offers a unique combination of technological and commercial perspectives, providing a comprehensive view and complimenting internal services. OxiCat offers intelligence and competitive advantage, leading to a broader and deeper "radar screen" for monitoring relevant technologies (i.e., what others are doing elsewhere, but may affect you)!

The deliverables are designed to provide current, detailed descriptions and analyses of technological progress and industrial implementation of catalytic oxidation processes. They will serve as an unparalleled competitive intelligence tool, as well as an authoritative reference source in selective oxidative catalysis, dramatically improving the visibility of key developments.

The program is directed by its membership in order to derive the greatest value for participation. It is chaired by leading industrial scientists, Dr. Jim Lyons (formerly of Sunoco) and Dr. Fred Pesa (formerly of BP Amoco) who have proven experience in creating, evaluating and implementing technological advances.
